With Dan Furst, author of Surfing Aquarius
Dan Furst’s new book Surfing Aquarius: How to Ace the Wave of Change has just been published by Weiser Books. Dan will be at Luminata to sign his book and talk about how to live bravely, creatively and intentionally in the Aquarian Age—beyond the Bee Hive Mind as we approach 2012.
Surfing Aquarius is for people who see the years ahead as a time of spiritual transformation, when awakened human beings will co-create new societies based on principles of teamwork and empowered service. The book shows how the Aquarian Age is already revolutionizing our politics and economies, families and love lives, our approaches to health, spirituality, community—the deeper values that inspire us. The book is, above all, a practical guide for those who want to see which way the wave of change is breaking, so that we can get ourselves, our families and our communities safely ashore, and co-create our new Aquarian Planet.

Talk and Book Signing with Carl Alasko
Author of “Beyond Blame”
Tuesday August 30th, 7:30 pm
Carl Alasko’s second book on the dynamics of a healthy relationship focuses on getting beyond the blame game. Following up on his popular “Emotional B. S.,” Alasko reveals that the need to assign blame stems from a very deep desire we all share to “see justice done.” Understandable when a crime has been committed, but it can become a dangerous habit if we begin to operate as though placing blame were somehow “necessary” if we want to change something or someone in our world. Come hear Monterey’s own Carl Alasko as he lays the groundwork for healthy relationships beyond blame. The event is free.

Class in Pendulum Dowsing
With Karla Kogan
Friday, July 22nd, 7:30 pm
The art of dowsing is thousands of years old and has been practiced in many societies and cultures. It is based on the fact that we live, move and have our being in a field of energy that is both alive and intelligent. Our bodies are capable of interpreting the qualities of any moment and revealing knowledge about any issue. Dowsing is the art and science of using a simple instrument as an extension of the intelligent field in which we are living. The pendulum is one such tool. It is easy to use and fun to engage with.
Karla Koga is one Luminata’s intuitive readers, and has developed a remarkable gift with the pendulum; she gets full sentence answers in seconds on questions presented to her. (Those sufficiently open minded may also appreciate her uniquely fascinating connection with her deceased grandfather Ole, who supplies wit and wisdom from another dimension.)
Karla will teach an introductory class in how to use the pendulum to acquire insight and knowledge from our own subconscious and superconscious mind. Be prepared for a fun and informative evening.

She wrote Bull Vaulter when she lived with her husband in Newport Oregon, high on a hill overlooking the Pacific.
